The model that has been a trailblazer for Land Rover since the 1990s - the Defender. The Land Rover Defender is a tough and capable car, designed to rove the land, regardless of terrain and conditions. We’re putting the spotlight on the Land Rover Defender V8 90 and the Defender V8 90 Carpathian currently at our Edenbridge dealership.
The Defender V8 is a true driver’s car. The V8 engine boasts 525 horsepower and 625 Nm torque, which can take you from 0-62 mph in just 5.2 seconds. With a top speed of 149 mph, the throttle has been fine-tuned to maximise the off-road control. Whether you’re taking to dry, wet or icy roads, off-roading on uneven surfaces or facing even the toughest of terrains, the Defender V8 promises capability, visibility and connectivity. Defender V8 Auto
The Defender V8 features 8 gears, 8 cylinders and 22” alloy wheels gripping the roads. Keyless entry gets you into the Defender, and a push start/stop button fires up the engine. The Defender V8 features deployable side steps for an easily accessible entry. The centre console is smart, neat and designed to keep you in control. Access features including: All Terrain Progress Control, Hill Descent Control, Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist technology. The touch screen panel keeps you connected with on-board Wi-Fi, AppleCar play and Android Auto. The Smart satellite navigation puts you on the map and matrix LED headlights light the way. The lighting system operates automatically, changing to suit the lighting conditions. A 3D surround camera gives you full visibility and extra protection whilst driving and parking. An impressive sliding panoramic roof floods the cabin with natural light, while privacy glass cocoons you in the cabin. Heated front and rear seats paired with climate control keep you submerged in comfort.
V8 Carpathian Edition
The Defender V8 Carpathian Edition shares the same off-road control as the Defender V8, but with some differences in the exterior and interior design. Carpathian grey paint with a matte finish and a satin protective film wrap the V8. The black contrast trail door and contrast bonnet give the Defender its character. The Carpathian Edition features 20” alloy wheels and a 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine, with its top speed hitting 149 mph and capable of achieving 0-62 mph in 5.2 seconds. The Defender V8 is instantly recognisable with enhanced exterior badging, quad exhausts and the iconic spare wheel at the rear.
The interior and technology is very similar to that of the V8 Auto. Inside you’ll find functions including: voice control, parking systems, front and rear climate control, satellite navigation and DAB radio. The seats are trimmed with Ebony Windsor leather while the Defender’s exposed Cross car beam has a special satin black finish.
